Adjust Status

A person in the United States may file I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, to apply for lawful permanent resident status. USCIS sometimes refers to Form I-485 as an application for adjustment of status or an adjustment application.

I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e)

U.S. citizens may file this petition to bring their: Fiancé(e) (K-1) and their children (K-2) to the U.S. so you may marry your fiancé(e); or Spouse (K-3) and their children (K-4) to the U.S. to await the approval of a Form I-130 filed on behalf of your spouse and their children with an available immigrant visa.

Petition for Amerasian, Widow(er)

or Special Immigrant

A widower or special immigrant may file a petition for permanent residence by demonstrating eligibility under U.S. immigration law and providing supporting evidence of a valid, qualifying relationship or category.

Green Card

I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)

This form is used to replace a current Permanent Resident Card (Green Card). Lawful permanent residents and permanent residents in commuter status may file Form I-90 for replacement or renewal of existing Permanent Resident Cards. Conditional permanent residents may also use this to replace an existing Permanent Resident Card. However, conditional permanent residents may not use this application to replace, for whatever reason, an expired Permanent Resident Card or one that expires in 90 days.

Alien Relative

A U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (LPR) may use this form to establish a relationship with an eligible alien relative who wishes to come to or remain in the United States permanently and get a Permanent Resident Card (Green Card).

Derivative Citizenship of Minor Children

Minor children may automatically acquire U.S. citizenship through their parents if certain legal requirements are met, such as the parent being a U.S. citizen and the child residing in the U.S. under lawful status.
